Daughters of Islam: Haya – A Part of Faith

Welcome to Ash Shajar, the Learning Tree! We are excited to introduce a special course designed for young Muslim girls aged 11-17 years. This course, titled “Daughters of Islam,” will focus on the important topic of Haya (modesty) and its significance in Islam. The course will run from June 24th to July 9th, with classes held daily from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, we will be teaching Canva skills to help our young learners develop practical and creative abilities.

Understanding Haya

Haya, which means modesty or shyness, is a crucial aspect of a Muslim’s faith. It is a characteristic that affects how someone behaves and engages with other people. In Islam, Haya is considered a part of Emaan (faith). Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Haya is a part of Emaan.” This highlights the importance of modesty in our daily lives and our relationship with Allah.

Course Content:

Our course is designed to be both educational and engaging. Here’s what we will cover:

1. Hifz: Surah Mulk

– Memorizing Surah Mulk, a significant chapter of the Quran.

– Recognizing the significance and meaning of this Surah.

2. Duain: Quranic and Masnoon

– Learning important Quranic and Masnoon (Sunnah) prayers.

– Understanding the context and benefits of these prayers in daily life.

3. Discussion on Haya

– Exploring the concept of Haya in Islam.

– Discussing practical ways to incorporate modesty in our lives.

– Understanding how Haya enhances our character and faith.

4. Canva Skills

-An overview of the graphic creation application Canva.

– Learning to create beautiful and meaningful designs.

– Practical sessions to develop creative skills.
