Course Overview:

The course is designed to help students dive into multiple perspectives, morals and grammatical vocabulary through their fav story books. This course provides an opportunity to the student to think critically about the relation of story and the real world around them. Moreover, The course helps students integrate the Islamic morals in their stories as well.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Following are the Learning objectives achieved at the end of the course:

  • Students will be able to understand the moral of the stories.
  • Students will be able to understand at least 3 major concepts of grammar.
  • Students will be able to integrate at least 3 Islamic morals in the story.

Word Usage and Application:

Sentence Creation: students will be able to create sentences using the vocabulary words in context.

Word Substitution:

students will be able to replace common words in sentences with more precise vocabulary words 

Word Hunt:

 students will be able to identify and underline unfamiliar words in the story.

Dictionary Dive:

students will be able to look up the definitions of unfamiliar words and write them down.

Synonym and Antonym Match:

 students will be able to work with a list of vocabulary words and have them find synonyms

Vocabulary Journal:

students will be able to keep a journal to record new vocabulary words, their definitions, and example sentences from the story.

Word Associations:

students will be able to create word maps or mind maps to show how vocabulary words are related to each other.

Summarizing skills:

dents will be able to summarize the main and effective points of the story.

Moral picking:

 it’s very necessary for each reader to understand what the lesson is integrated in the story this might also involve moral identification and integrating Islamic moral and teachings in the stories.
